Ok so it has been FOREVER since I have seen these beautiful ladies, but the wait was well worth it. Even though I was only able to stay for a quick 30 minute chat, I am glad I did. Saturday was full of hello's and goodbye's. After my goodbye lunch with the Hubbards, I went back up to AF to meet and greet my King Henry ladies. Everyone looked great. Two married with two babies! I even held the beautiful Natalie, daughter of J! She was BEAUTIFUL and was surprisingly not very fussy for me (maybe she knew how nervous I was for her to cry). Anyway, it was a BUSY BUSY day, but fun as always.
Also mcLyle had his interview at UNLV and it went AMAZINGLY well. GO LYLE! He should know by mid-January what the results are.
We went to see the Jazz game on Friday (they lost by 1 point) and it was a GOOD game, but alas we did not fair well in the end. Then we literally jogged to the car since it was blizzarding outside and of course we did not bring coats. THAT was interesting.
Sunday we had my friends, Jaymie and Justin over for dinner before they ALSO left me for TEXAS. Texas is sooo lucky! After a couple good hours of talking and laughing and "oh my gosh, no way!"s they were on the road as well. As for me? I finished watching an old classic and a favorite of mine: Meet me in St. Louis! Lyle is so good to me for watching the end with me. He truly is amazing and I can't imagine my life without him.
So today? I have already gone to work, pick up my mamma from the airport, gone bowling for the city staff party, had lunch with the staff, and gotten yelled at by at least 4 mothers of Jr. Jazz participants! And it's only 2pm! The day is still young! Well, it's back to work and being productive. It may be the week before Christmas, but there is much work to do!
Losses this week: Hubbards (texas), Kiersten (freakin England THEN Texas), Jaymie (Texas), Jeni & baby Natalie (here THEN back to Texas where they live), Lyle (Friday...he goes home for 5 days)
but still...tis the season to be jolly? OK FINE!
