After church we traveled through the countryside...more Lyle carsickness, so we tried to make it quick and get home. We DID see George Harrison's (of the beatles...maybe you know them) ESTATE. Ok, so we didn't see the actual house because there was so much greenery hiding it, but we drove past the TWO gatehouses and the perimeter of it. After dinner and a little rest we headed back out to look at the Roman Ruins. This was about 45 minutes from Twyford. We walked the wall surrounding this ancient village. On the top right was a web ith raindrops. It was DISCOVERY CHANNEL cool.
Dad, this one's for you! I loved taking pics of these cows. They were mooing a little. It reminded me of waking up on the farm in Colorado where the cows were quite literally RIGHT outside your open window wanting to be fed or milked.
Kissing gate! You kiss with one person on each side of the gate, kiss, then you get to walk through. This was fun!
The pic above was a FIELD of YELLOW. Full of flowers....so storybook.
Below is a pic of Lyle making his GLADIATOR GROWL in the amphitheatre where YES, they did use to have gladiator entertainment battles among other such things.
We hit up a hotel on the way home with a MARVELOUS garden. We walked and strolled around enjoying the yummy flowers.

We didn't get too many pics of just the two of us on the trip, so we used this day to our advantage.
Thanks Kathi & Kurt for the tours and facts!
