Elizabeth, Lees, Leeser, Leez...whatever you call her, we LOVE her!

Lisa came into town....and when I say town, I mean Louisville, Kentucky (4 months ago a week or two before we moved to Manhattan) for a lovely visit. I had decided not to post the event until I received all the required pictures I needed for the post (which she had on HER camera and was going to send to me via this new technology we call the INTERNET). Time escaped us and here we are 4 months later with another visit. I decided I would have to forgo the aforementioned photos and post the two visits at once.

LOO-UH-VILLE

Famous Daves was our favorite bbq restaurant in Kentucky. GUESS WHAT? They have one in long island and we have yet to have ANY great bbq here in the city, so we'll be taking a trip out there at least by summer...can't wait!

Oh yeah...they serve the food on top of a TRASH LID...hopefully this is the closest we ever get to white trash right? I guess I won't hold my breath.Maybe someday you'll get to see the rest of our adventures...like traveling the 40 minutes to "e-town" which is what the locals call "elizabethtown". Yep...just like the movie. In fact, we rented the movie after we visited and it was HILARIOUS to watch as a local because I understood a lot more of the jokes and sarcasm. Etown really is hickvsille by the way. The movie is a great representation and don't let ANYONE tell you otherwise.

We also made it to Zappos.com but in real life! We didn't make out with any good buys, but we sure entertained ourselves! See here for more details.

Finally we went for a trip downtown to the "hip" joints. We also walked by the water and looked across to Indiana (since it is only across the river) and YES, we also saw locals bathing and playing in these big man made ditches that empty into the river that specifically say "no swimming - hazardous". They had bathing suits, kiddos, cameras, and beer bottles with coolers in tow wouldn't you know! That is Louisville for ya!

Part duex - NYC!

Lisa and her fun loving mama Sharon came into town a few weeks ago. Click here to see how Lisa's trip went. I mentioned in a previous post about the restaurants we tried with them. Here are the pics to go with them!

Yeah the hong's are in town!
Lisa brought Lyle and I together...we will always love her for that and more.
Plus, we REALLY have a hysterically funny time when we're together.
And Lyle is funny...sometimes.
I am usually the serious one. Right Lees?

When are you coming back friend? We already miss you!
