Also, here's a sad picture of the once beautiful delicate mousse cake a fantastic co-worker brought me. She arrived with it at 8am, but when I brought it home around 1pm and opened it up, it had halfway melted. I had no idea room temperature could do that to mousse.

birth day blowout
Well it wasn't a blowout per se, but as you can see, it is a successful birthday if there is carnage leftover. Here is where I opened my bday gifts and cards from beloved family. Thank you everyone! I enjoyed reading and indulging and wearing all my perfect gifts.
The most surprising one? Lyle bought me a Spanish learning kit. I guess he wants me to get back to my roots? I am a Lamanite by blood and I swore I would learn Spanish before we visit the Domincan Republic again. There's no better time to learn than the present...and it was the PERFECT present. Good job Lyle! Thank you to everyone for messages through the many forms of media to wish me well on my bday! Each and every one made me smile ;)

Don't fret, I didn't let it go to waste. After an hour in the refrigerator I enjoyed every bite!

I am glad you had a great birthday. Sean keeps asking me if I want to learn Italian, and I keep telling him I don't have time. Maybe after I finish my masters. I hope your Spanish comes easily.
Anyway, tell Lyle we saw Emmy this weekend in her musical. She was really cute. Sean's sister was in it also.
OH that cake looks really good right now! I must be hungry! I am glad you had such a great birthday.
No me gusta espanol! I'm in my third Spanish class (this is at a University level, mind you...) and I still had to ask Jerrel "How do you say 'I hate Spanish' in Spanish?" I think I'm retarded.
Anyways, I wish you much luck and hope you LOVE learning it!
