I have saved the "brush" and may use it in the future (or not). I was happy with my result. It is cool to learn the new tricks and quick keystrokes. I now hope to minimize the pics on the blog (you are singing my praises as we speak I'm sure) to form collages. I also hope to keep up my learning of adobe and one day learn how to "bridge" everything together!

Illustrator - experiment #1
I have had a hard time sitting down and reading from my "dummies" book for CS3 (adobe photoshop, illustrator, etc.), but these past couple weeks I have been a little more motivated. I decided to skip around the book (instead of read straight through), and begin experimentation. I read the entire Photoshop section and moved next on to the Illustrator section which I am MOST interested about. I went straight to the web to search for a "how to" experiment and followed along accordingly. Here is what took me about 2.5 hours (sad I know).

Well I'm happy for you! I don't think that I'll ever have the patience for that. Sorry we kept missing each other today...I was watching Owen today so it was a little hectic during the last time you called. So...call me tomorrow!!
Cool! I'm glad you're trying it out. It takes a little while to get to know Illustrator, but it is a fantastic program. I love it. Get to know the pen tool. The pen tool is your friend. ;-)
Photoshop and/or InDesign are better for building collages.
I have to use Illustrator for work...and I have a hard time with it too! I should probably get that book. :)
I am an Adobe Photoshop Elements user and I must say that I can only do the bare minimum. It is fun to create something, though. And I love what you've done with your kitchen. AND...mostly, thanks for the prayers and kind words!
I use Illustrator all day at work, and I'm kind of an expert. Kind of. If you need any help at all, don't hesitate to ask! Good job so far!
