Back in January or February (they all blend together because they were all dark, cold, and dreary), I was walking home from work. I work on 22nd Street between Park & Broad, so my walk is less than 15 minutes to get home to 22nd & 1st. I am walking on 22nd and as I am enjoying my tunes, I look up to see John on his cell phone. He seemed like he was trying to find where something was, and he was confused or lost. He was so tall, was the first thing that struck me. I smiled looking at him and for some reason couldn't wipe it off my face. He looked at me and kept going. Maybe it was because I saw this man confused in "my neck of the woods"? I don't know, it seemed funny to me (I know it's not really a funny situation).

This actor from Little Miss Sunshine and recently There Will be Blood is up and coming no doubt. We saw him filming what seemed like a 70s movie on our way to the Cursive concert. We were crossing over on some random street and saw the big movie set. He was pretty far off, but it was very cool because they were "mid-scene". The COOLEST thing is when I saw him next. The Lucky Chicken is a horrid place where Lyle and I have eaten once or twice together (Lyle has eaten there a ton without me), but I don't prefer it. Anyway, there was a sign a few weeks back that said the shop would be closed on April 1st. I thought this had to do with it being an unlucky day? I don't know. What I do know is all along our street (22nd between 1st & 2nd ave) there were signs on the trees saying "no parking - April 1 - movie shoot". I thought it was a low key movie, but when I came home from a YW's activity, I turned the corner to enter my apartment and the whole street was full of trucks and trailers and cameras and lights. Apparently the Lucky Chicken was the movie background and Dano was either about to start filming or just finished filming because I walked right through the set. Dano was talking to a guy and as I walked past them, he interrupted his chat and said, "hey, how's it going?" I looked at him, smiled, and kept walking. It was one of those things that I realized he was talking to me AFTER I had already walked past him, so I couldn't turn and walk back and say, "oh I'm great, thank's Paul. By the way, you were great in Little Miss Sunshine and you were AMAZING in There Will Be Blood. By the way, what are you filming?" So the moment passed, and I walked the 20 steps to our apartment and told Lyle about what had happened instead. The film I think he was probably filming is called The Extra Man. I am guessing this because it is being filmed in NYC. Beyond that, I am of no help.
Whitney Port from the City @ 22nd &3rd
Whitney lives in my friends building called Electra off 22nd & 3rd. It's crazy because I have NEVER seen her, but maybe it's because she takes cabs/has a driver everywhere? Who knows. My friend is actually the Young Women's President (I am her 2nd counselor) and she has seen her in the building's gym. It's kind of cool to know she lives there, but then again, I don't watch the show and would barely recognize her on the street.
Mark Consuelos@ 23rd & Park
Tuesday, as my co-worker and I were walking back from lunch, Mark walked right past me. I immediately grabbed Brit's arm and said, "kelly ripa". She said, "where?" I said, "no her husband! Mark Consuelos!" I turned her around to show her the short dark and handsome and VERY fake tan Mark. I can't help but have a crush on this man despite his horrible tan. Mark, I know you probably just got back from vaca somewhere tropical, but at least where a hat! You look way too dark to be normal. He was stopped at the corner approximately 20 feet away from us, where he turned around to see us staring at him, then quickly turned back to cross the street. Say hi to Kelly for us Mark...and wear sunscreen!
