The Hamptons

The Hamptons have the reputation of also being exclusive. We had to check it out southampton for ourselves. Lyle reminded me it was his "last hurrah", so we went big!

We rented a car, picked up the best donuts, picked up some friends, and hit the road. In our quest to go big, we decided to ride in luxury. Ok, back to reality, it was the only car left to rent, and luckily Lyle had a sweet deal to get it for cheaper otherwise we wouldn't have gone at all.
Gary, Myriam, Lyle, and I at Cooper Beach, rated #1 beach of 2010 and rated #1 for a reason. It was AMAZING: beautiful, clean, not crowded, the population was more older than younger, more secure, very quiet, and I can't wait to go back.

Myrium and I! She and Gary were such great company and we were so happy to get to know them better.

These boys were a hoot.

A view of the beachside homes.

After a few pictures, Lyle started sprinting down the beach, then dove right in.

He was SUCH a happy boy.

I love this guy.

Our spot for the day.

What was nuts was we ran into a handful of families in the ward. Lyle had brought his football and threw it around with Gary when they first got there, but when the guys came over to start a real game, Lyle couldn't jump up quick enough! It was quite a sight to watch.

The only building on the premises.

The parking lot. The house in the background is amazing. All the homes were hidden by hedges guarding them, but you could still see how incredible they were.

It was a top notch day and the parking lot wasn't even full! (maybe part of it was the expensive parking lot fee)

Unfortunately I didn't get pics of the rest of the day. We headed back to the beach after lunch at the pavilion. We got torched (mostly me because I wasn't cautious enough), we got super tired, we drove to the outlet malls nearby, had some pizza, and the best ice cream in the hamptons at snowflake ice cream. We made it home just in time to hit some saturday night traffic, but we still got home before 9:30. Talk about an amazing day. Lyle did an amazing job planning the whole thing. It couldn't have been a better experience (ok, maybe I shouldn't have gotten us lost...twice). Thanks Gary and Myriam for exploring with us! When should we go again?!
