that I wanted. Much dancing (breaking, salsa, and grooving) was had with good friends. Lyle got a little dirty on the dance floor as is always the case. Does he get paid for this entertainment? No, however, I should send them an invoice! I love getting dressed up with the girls and grooving to tunes in the dark. Good times, good times.
Amongst other things this weekend was another viewing...a real viewing of Pan's Labyrinth. This is a MUST see for those of you who enjoy well made films. It is a sub-titled adult "fairytale" set in the post WWI era in Spain. It is a little gruesome at times, hence the R rating I think, but it is excellent!
This week has already been SO very busy, but the REAL fun begins this weekend. I will first begin with Lyle and my official 6th month anniversary on Monday, February 12. I am NOT big into anniversaries, but we wanted to keep Vday low key this year, so instead we chose Monday. We had takeout chinese for our first date (along with Fiddler on the Roof at the outdoor scera). Then the exchanging of gifts. I gave him mine, and he couldn't wait to give me mine. Well, I will just say that it was the biggest surprise EVER! He got me guitar hero II! BOOYA! Now some of you may be thinking that you have NO idea what I am talking about. Guitar hero is a game for Playstation and the controllers are actual mini guitars. We discovered this game a few weeks ago and have been OBSESSED about it. We are not big gamers, but this is so so so fun to play together. Anyway, he got two guitars so we can play together. You may be thinking that he got it for himself, but really I was way more obsessed about it than he was, so it was definitely a gift and surprise for me! I can't wait to bring back his family's PS2 this weekend so we can play ALL THE TIME!
Tuesday was spent up in Park City. I had never been to Deer Valley Resort since it is for skiers only (snobs), but we went up there and after literally 30 minutes of driving around the freaking mountain of a neighborhood, we found it. Lyle and his buddy had gone up before to go sledding, so that was our plan again. What we ended up doing was walking onto a ski run and riding the tubes and sleds down it. Deer Valley has the runs literally in between houses, so here we are in the middle of the dark, next to homes that are most likely asleep, riding down tubes screaming and laughing, and hoping to not fall off the trail and into the trees. We did that for about an hour and then decided we were going to have two people drive down the cars and meet us at the very bottom of the run. To ski down the run, it would take at least 10 minutes. Lyle and I made it down in about 4 minutes tops. Let me paint you a picture. Lyle and I are sitting side by side on this big tube. We have our feet in front so we can brake if we need to, but with the tube circulating round and round, it made it difficult to brake at all. We had to stop a few times as we were getting off the trail and too close to trees, but basically we were going at least 30-35 mph to what we calculated. We are both laughing and screaming and FLYING down the mountain. All of a sudden we see lights in front of us and realize it is a grooming tractor. I bail before the tube comes into the light and roll to the side. Lyle then falls of the tube trying to stop, but the tube keeps going down the mountain. I am now on my hands and knees laughing SO SO SO hard while trying to run to the side off the trail to hide in the trees. Meanwhile, Lyle is sliding and falling while still trying to catch the tube and is making no mind of the tractor. I thought we were busted, but he called me to come down and said we were fine. Then we got back on the tube to go the rest of the way (on the freshly groomed trail) and the tractor started up again. What happens next? We fly out of control off the trail and with no success at braking, we fly OVER a small BOULDER, not a rock, a boulder. Luckily we were not injured, but it was a tad scary. Yet again we get back on the tube and ride the rest of the way down literally into the lodge parking lot. We beat everyone else by at least 2 or 3 minutes. It was DEFINITEly the best experience EVER! LOL...I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe and I don't know how a little pee didn't come out. Whew!
