It all started on Saturday morning when mcLyle and I ran our first 10k. YES! We did do this on purpose. It was definitely the hardest physical thing I have ever done (I think) mostly because it was a very very very very LONG sprint. I am better at endurance. A 10k, however, is short enough that you have to sprint a lot. Anyway, here are our times:
147th place in my age division of 19-24 females with a time of 01:06:30.44 (LOL...my two goals were to finish and to NOT finish last). Goals accomplished! I beat 13 other girls in my division and 34 people in the overall race. HA! That is a 10.2 minute mile which is pretty sad, but it IS my first race so I just need to improve from here on out.
Lyle of course is a SPEEDSTER. This football and track-star in high school finished 12th in his age division of 25-29 males with a time of 00:45:40.61! That is a freakin 6.99 minute mile. CRAZY BOY! He finished 99th overall (out of 560 people). Luckily he was satisfied with this time, although now he is aiming for under that time for our next 10k.
We hope to run at least 2 more 10k's before August so that we can be ready to run the 1/2 marathon along the Provo River Trail. YIKES! We had better see improvement mentally and physically before then otherwise it is NOT going to happen.
HA...this was our "high school prom photo" but switched around so that I was the boy and lyle was the girl. LOL...
Phase 2 of my bday was at Tucanos. This a Brazilian meat serving restaurant and is a hit in the Provo scene. Lyle called some of our closest friends to come and we had a party of about 20. It was a perfect mesh of people and we had so much fun catching up with everyone and eating some GOOD grub. MMM.
Sunday was the normal church and nap. Then after a visit with my good friend Cov, Lyle and I went up to mom & dad's house for my bday dinner. LUCKILY mom made me a yummy salad with rolls. Then it was a lazy sunday (not to be confused with the youtube funny video). Then we went over cruise plans. THIS got me sooo excited for this upcoming week. I CAN'T WAIT!
Monday was the normal work day, busy busy, BUT with yummy treats for my bday. Carrot cake muffins and cafe rio lunch. How much better can it get?!
Well, one more day of the real world and then I'm on the booze cruise with the Schofield fam. I have modest swim suits (that is NO minor miracle), a few cute tops, and some sunscreen! No worries, I am bringing the cam and WILL have photos and hopefully videos to bring back! When I get back, I just might be that much closer to being a schofield. We'll see!

Aww I love your post! I can't believe how much I miss you actually! Lol, we all need to go see The Nanny Diaries when you get here and do like mani/pedis or something as a slightly delayed birthday party (for us) and current bday for Kiersten!

Ok FIRST of all I didn't even realize Rick's facial hair either! I went back for a second look and WOAH! Totally a different take...kinda funny actually! But happy bday again c! It sounds like it was a good THREE days! AND I totally admire you running a 10k! I must say..you got balls. I'd probably fall over and die. I'm so totally out of shape but you have me motivated for when this baby comes OUT (8 weeks and counting!)
