Top Ten Moments of 2007

1. Getting married (doy that one had to be first one) was the best thing I ever did. I am glad I waited for Lyle. I am one lucky gal. And no...our days are never dull or monotonous...are you kidding? It's Lyle and Ciara = unpredictable.
2. Being able to experience the full beauty of the temple. This was such a special experience for me and I am glad I waited until I did. Oh and Lyle and I were married there as well. That was nice too.
3. Our honeymoon to the Dominican Republic was SUPERB. I was fascinated by the culture, saddened by the poverty, amazed by the faith, humbled by the beauty, and excited by the wild adventures we had (and by wild I mean beyond the norm even for lyle and ciara).
4. The Disney Cruise was where Lyle proposed. It was very slick and romantic (without getting too gushy of course). This cruise was where I realized that I am a CRUISER! Some people are and some people aren't. Poor Lyle thinks he is not, but that was the 2nd cruise he had been on and he liked it while he was there...hello! He likes them, he just needs to be reminded. They are all inclusive and all fun. They are super clean and the staff is extremely nice to the point where it's almost weird. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. I hope to be on another cruise within the next three years. That is a goal. Here we are at atlantis in the bahamas.
5. Getting into Dental School was probably one of the most fun nights we ever had. I have never seen Lyle so excited (even after concerts or football games)! He was screaming and singing and leaping every which way for the first 24 hours after his acceptance. That is also when I began calling him "Dr. Schofield". HA!
6. BYU beating the U of U in football was the sweetness! I don't care if we lose every other game in the season. If we beat the U then we've had a successful season and Lyle will agree with that one. Go Cougars. Booya.
7. Rocking my brand new niece, Isabel, and watching her explore her new world was such a special moment. Oh my gosh. I found my love in my heart for her than I knew what to do with. Heaven help my own future children that their love isn't tainted by the love I have for Isabel. I think about her constantly and wonder what she is doing. I miss her!
8. Watching Lyle rock Isabel to sleep (instinctively - without anyone telling him) was the sight I saw about twenty minutes after lyle met Isabel. Kiers and I left to go pick something up at the grocery and Lyle wouldn't take Isabel from Taylor, but when we got back, Lyle was rocking her to sleep and he was so proud of it too. LOL...he loves her and I can't even start to think of how good of a dad he'll be or I get emotional...who am I...mom?
9. Watching Lyle baptize his little sister, Emily was very cool. Since we are so far from our families we don't get to see them a lot, but this was a special experience we were able to see.
10. Christmas is always in my top ten every year...OF COURSE because I love Christmas. But what set this aside from all my previous Christmases was that I was able to spend it with my beau. It was fun putting together our tree and drinking hot cocoa/chocolate by the tree and watching Christmas movies. I soaked it up ALL MONTH LONG and I am happy to say that that love for the holiday season diffused into lyle too.

2007 was definitely a memorable year. Marriages, births, and moves across the country. I am excited to see where 2008 will lead us, move us, and bring us!
