Wedding...not mine this time

Diana and Mac Christiansen were wed on Saturday, January 12, 2008, and we were lucky enough to be a part of it.

We chose to come out for the wedding instead of Christmas as the two events were so close together. It was fun to be back in Granite Bay (Sacramento area) and more importantly in California. It feels more and more like another home for me when I am there. For Lyle, everything is better there.

Probably the thing we feel is most perfect there (or at least much much MUCH better than in Kentucky or anyplace around it) is the road system and drivers. The roads and street lights are organized and efficient. The drivers...well, they know how to drive. The streets are cleaner and well-groomed. The neighborhoods are organized, and the layout is LOGICAL. LOL...anyway, it was nice to be on the West Coast once again.

I had a "black sheep of the in-law family" moment at the wedding. I was told a month or two before the wedding to get a top that matched one of the two blue colors used that day and to wear a light/khaki colored skirt. I had a gold skirt so I figured that would work. Ok, first of all, EVERYONE wore black skirts so I stood out like a SORE thumb. THEN, I was the ONLY person wearing the darker of the blues. I, apparently, was the only one who didn't receive the memo. I now know to not have Lyle pass along messages of apparel, but to get the details with these things myself. I got over it, but I refused to enjoy picture time. LOL...oops.

I can't help but be partial. Lyle was the hottest man there (sorry Mac).
The men posing.

This is one of the little girls of Mac's Sister. She was ADORABLE and the camera loved her.
Yeah, this photo is kind of awkward. I hate my sweater by the way.
