Murray Hill is where the dental school is. It's on the Central East side next to the East River in Manhattan. The prices are a little more for less space, but the convenience of being a stone's throw away from the dental school is something money can't buy. It will give Lyle and I more time together while he is in school since he won't be using his extra time to travel. The only problem is it's not close to the majority of subway lines, so it may not end up being convenient for me to get to work.

One very sad thing...we must revert back to public laundry rooms.
At least this one is pretty nice?

Not a bad view either.
What a studio apartment would be here. This place is literally a stone's throw

The studio alcove (where the bed goes, but there is no wall to separate it). In this model, they use a screen to separate it from the family room.
BIG closet space - -> TALL closets I guess I should say
Kitchen with pretty nice appliances. We love these cupboards.
The Financial District is about a 20-25 minute subway ride for Lyle to the dental school. It is a little more bang for your buck. There are more members that live in that general vacinity. The MAJOR plus is that it has a subway stop close by that allows you to jump on every single line, so we would never have to make any transfers!

All we really know is we want an alcove studio, but we will start looking a little more seriously in a week or two and finalize all the plans. Right now we're putting up the cars for sale. Lyle is meticulous so this is working to our advantage. We spent 3 hours last Saturday before Conference started (since it starts at NOON on the east coast--crazy), washing and waxing our cars. We're having new tires put on, checking everything, and detailing it as best we can. If you are looking for cars in great condition come out and buy ours!
What's coming soon: the Kentucky Derby (people here are freaking out about this thing...it is all they talk about) Hopefully we can experience the good parts of it and keep the bad parts out!

Lol, I want another car...how much?
Don't know if you remember me I just moved back to utah in December. But I saw your blog off Ashley's. What an Adventure. This is a big move. Good luck with everything. Love your blog, super super cute.
Great post! I loved the pictures!!
I get so excited seeing all these pics! I'm jealous you get to experience the NYC lifestyle for a little while! I think it'll be fun to have a small cozy little apt (of course not forever but for a little while!) and just think you won't have to spend TONS of money decorating! In fact, you might actually MAKE money if you have to sell some of the things you already own because they won't fit! HAHA! It looks great though and I think your views are awesome! So when can we visit?
I havent met you yet, ciara, but Lyle and I went to high school together. I am so glad you guys have a blog so I can see what is new. I haven't seen him forever! Tell him hi for me and congrats on the wedding and moving to NY. I love NY! Thanks, Jillian Goulding (aka Murphy)
