Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin

...is a band whom Lyle ADORES. I'm sure none of you have heard of them before, BUT if you listened to them you would probably enjoy them. They are light and fun. Lyle has been to EVERY show they have played within two hours of where he is living at that moment. He even has Phil's mobile number (he's in the band), and Phil (LOL) has Lyle's saved as well.

They started another tour for another album release. Their second stop was to be in Indianapolis on Tuesday, April 15. We are only a MERE two hours drive away, so of course we went to a full days work, then hopped in the car, drove two hours to Indianapolis, saw the show, chatted it up, then drove back the two hours. What time did we then walk through our apartment door? 2 A.M. What time did we finally get to sleep? 2:30A.M. What time did we wake up for work the next morning? 6:30A.M. Let's do the math here = 4 hours sleep! Wednesday was a full day of work and activities, Thursday was an even fuller day of work and activities, which made Friday the first day back to feeling somewhat normal. HELLO, we are not kids anymore! We are officially old and married. We cannot take these late night bouts of partying and late night concerts. We were in a smoky bar for a few hours and were too tired to shower when we got home, so what did I have to do the following day? I had to clean ALL the sheets and do laundry all night. Yes, the joys. If I had to do it all over again, would I? Yes, the show was a thrill. The guys in the band are definitely cool. I got a t-shirt, and Phil gave us a sweet poster for coming up to see them. They are low key in the states, but are a HUGE hit in Germany (who would have known). We hope to see them do well in the states. They are a few of the actual good guys who we know can make it. Until then, we will remain dedicated fans and if they are the only show we'll go out to see once a year, then so be it (even if it means no sleep).

Here you can see Lyle on the left talking to Will (rhythm guitar) before their show starts.
I'm pretty sure Lyle is giving him tips or something.

Here, I was trying to get the full affect of the lighting.
They hung icicle lights from the ceiling in rows and it looks STELLAR!

Here Lyle is REALLY enjoying the show. He said he would be on the dance floor RIGHT in front of them jamming out, but I told him I would be sitting on the sidelines at a nearby table. I guess, he thought he would just sit with me instead.
Also, Will gave a "this song's for you, Lyle" during one of the last songs.
Lyle was LOVIN it! I guess their BFF's now.
Here's the band t-shirt I got. Thanks Phil for the "band" cost. Phil's told us he thought EVERYONE should at least have one Russian t-shirt in their closet. So I decided to go ahead and help bring that idea to life. For all you Russian readers. I think it's just their band name, right?

You are such a sport I don't think I would have driven all that way, but it looks like you guys had a blast anyways! Doesn't it stink to realize that you are old and have repsonsibility. I come to that realization everytime I only get 5 hours of sleep and want to die!
