Thanks Ashley Baker for the tag (I've already made you suffer through the chinese buffet and iron man with the Lyle and I this weekend so I'll let this one go).
I am going to do three things for this post. 1) I will post the 6 things about me, 2) I will post 6 things you MAY or may NOT know about the Lyle, c) I will post 6 things you MAY or may NOT know about US. Ready or not...
Cici
1. MUST HAVE clean windows! My entire car can be dirty on the outside, but if my front and back windshield and dirty or have smudges then I have a PROBLEM until they are fixed. Pretty sure in my home someday I will have the cleaning lady come in to dust/wash the drapes, but guess what? My windows will be spotless already!
2. I would so rather eat a banana split and run 3 miles rather than eat no banana split and run 0 miles. The banana split is worth it to me (every time) and in fact, I would replace dinner in a heartbeat with dessert if I could (if Lyle would let me). Pretty sure I did that PLENTY of times in college. Come home from a long day at school, work, & the gym. What do I eat? Hmm...no food in the house. Guess what I ate? Ice cream! Sometimes it showed, sometimes it didn't. No more of that! Oh well.
3. I can't stop thinking of my baby niece, Isabel Ruth. I think of her ALL day long. Of course I think of my Lyle too, but I look at my phone probably every other hour just to see that smiley face. I miss that baby girl so much. I never knew I could miss a little one like that. And she's growing up without her auntie around...that is one of the things that makes me sick and sad inside. Thank heavens for Skype!
4. I love LOVE to take drives. I love to drive at night especially. I don't usually take random drives (hello...gas prices), but I enjoy driving to work, home from work, etc. I don't LOVE traffic, but I can deal with it a heck of a lot better than my poor husband. I hope our kids don't get that from him! Driving relaxes me. I roll the windows down, open the sun roof, blast the music and enjoy the ride!
5. When I get addicted to a show on TV, I get ADDICTED. I have to see EVERY episode and know everything start to finish. I don't need to watch it in order, out of order is fine, I just skip over and connect the dots. Right now it's One Tree Hill. What am I, 15? I don't care. I even made my sister send me her first three seasons on DVD so that I could catch up. I never watched an episode before last month and all of a sudden I see it on TV at work on the "soap" network. LOL...usually I am over it after I have seen everything (that way it is out of my system).
6. If I could take a nap for one hour each day I would never be in a bad mood, I would never have a bad day...life would be perfect. Naps are a necessity for almost EVERYONE.
the Lyle
1. He cannot wait to be an old man. He has said this and I can see it in him everyday. He says it's because then he can act crazy or wear crazy things and people will just laugh and point and call him a "crazy old man". Trust me, he won't have to act any different than he is this very second to be considered a "crazy old man" when the time comes.
2. Lyle is very close with his Grammy. He was the first grandchild and has a very good relationship with his mom's mom. This is one of the things I realized I loved him for. He is truly interested in her daily activities, her health, and her life. They talk about once a week for no more than 7 minutes (Grammy always keeps it short). She is very easy to love, but Lyle will always love her and talk fondly about the "gramminator".
3. Lyle has an evening routine that is longer than mine! He takes at least 15-20 minutes to get ready for bed from start to finish and I am done in 7 max. This has been a true test of my patience!
4. Lyle watches Grey's Anatomy with me, but he won't tell anyone he loves it. Guess what? He is interested, and guess what else? He won't let me watch it WITHOUT him. He worships. I watch Seinfeld with him, so he watches Grey's with me. We are both a little hooked I guess.
5. Lyle talks and sings in an accent quite frequently. He has a variety of these: english, mexican, borat, southern, and proper old english. He will pretend he is in a musical while singing pop song lyrics. It makes me laugh to DEATH and I may be the only one, but I love it.
6. Lyle wishes he was a ninja. 'Nuf said?
Schofies (nickname per Ashley Baker)
1. We haven't finished our thank you cards yet OR ordered our wedding photos yet (the package is ALREADY paid for)! We have a year right? AGH!
2. We will be BYU cougars 'til the day we die. Our children will all go to BYU and LOVE being a cougar. They will know the cougar fight song before their first college game, and we'll probably make a family trip each time there is a bowl game and when they make it to march madness. BYU...true blue...through and through.
3. We ONLY see a movie if it scores over a 70% on Metacritic.com. In fact, we probably don't go out to the theater to see the actual movie unless it scores over an 80%. We redbox everything else. I rarely get to see my "chick flick" movies, but to tell you the truth, I rarely have enough time to see it on my own.
4. Lyle and I LOVE to play and learn and talk golf. What are we 65? It's just something fun we can do together and the one thing I'm NOT competitive with. If we had the funds and the time we would golf five times a week. For now, we get to the range once every other week and Lyle gets to play a heck of a lot more during his "work tournaments".
5. We are competitive in many things, but the one thing Lyle will never beat me in is air hockey. Sorry Lyle.
6. We don't know ANYTHING about our life except that we have each other.

Ok so loved this post. I feel closer to "the schofies" b/c of it. Hahaha. And if I'm being completely honest, I almost cried when you wrote about how much you love Isabel. I really didn't know you felt like that about her! I mean, I know you love her and all, but you expressed it so beautifully! I love you and call me soon!
I loved learning more about you guys! I loved hearing the things about Lyle because they don't surprise me he is such a passionate person!
You are so cute, and I am going to miss you guys so much! It is the saddest, but hey, NY will be SO fun! I'm jealous. Are we really the only ones who call you the Schofies?
Thank you for giving us a little bit more info about you both! It's enjoyable to read! I had NO IDEA you were such a golfer! We suck at golf so we never pursued that career as a couple! HA! I'm SOO glad you watch OTH now too! If you haven't seen this season yet, it IS the best to come...just a little FYI but I'm sure Kiers has told you that!
Let's just hope that our dad leaves in his will some of his hawaiian shirts- that's good old man gear. It was so fun to hear about you two!
