We took off for London about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Nothing has been quite the same since. LONDON BABY!
Need I say more? Ok, I will...slowly, but surely I WILL say more about each day of our trip.
I decided to post each day individually so that I can feel less overwhelmed. With my hours being cut by 10 hours a week at work you would THINK that I would have more time on my hands (I mean, I literally do, right), but instead, I am using that 10 hours to catch up on things I have been meaning to do AND by running errands that we usually do on the weekends during the week instead. This allows my "lazy, relaxation" time in the Schofie apartment, which is a REQUIREMENT in the summer time.

Here is our before picture as we took off to Chicago (where we connected to Heathrow in London). We didn't get an after picture this time (THAT is how tired and out of it we were). I had to take a pic of this Chicago skyline view from the plane. I got the window seat (thanks lyle) and I never tire of looking out at the beautiful views. I have been to Chicago one time when I was 12, but we definitely decided to add that city to our list to visit (our list is more like a short story). I mean, it is the birthplace of my mother! For our flight going out we were VERY comfortable. We were bumped up to United Express (I think that's the name of it). Since the flight was a red-eye we were VERY very grateful. Anyway, it is basically 6 more inches of leg room AND the seats have a recliner feel since they have the cushion that pops out to rest your feet on. This was HEAVENLY. We felt blessed (especially since we had to experience how the other 70% of the passengers felt on the way back while we were stuck in normal "coach")! This wasn't considered business or first (obviously), but as you board you see what kind of seats they get and we VOWED to someday make it to first class if we travel overseas...we'll let you know how that goes on our 50th wedding anniversary.

One- did you read the really long comment I left you AFTER you had already left.
TWO - I am excited to keep reading about your trip but I still would like to talk to you on the phone about it, but I am pretty sure it is my turn to call you so I will work on that.
THREE - One time Matt and I were flying home for Christmas and my Dad had booked Matt the middle seat in "express" class or whatever you call it, but I had a window seat in the back because the flight was so full, we didn't know the difference and since Matt's legs are so long I though I would be nice and we would switch. When we got off the plane I said "that plane was awesome with the extra six inches it makes such a difference" Matt says "hmmm what inches" "Hello they were advistising it all over the little phone in front of you face"....OHHHH wait, we figured out that's the difference between "express" class and the back of the plane. HAHA, oops!
yea! yea! we want more!
Best of luck with the first class quest. I'm betting you two will own a private jet of your own one day......maybe Nate and I could tag along? I'm glad you got to experience it though, especially for such a long flight!
Okay I want to hear more about your little vaca! But I have a feeling its going to take another decade to get another post out of you!!!
