I went for a visit to my beautiful niece in Dallas this past weekend. If your wondering...is she already 2 years old? NO! She is not! She is growing too fast and will only be 10 months on August 1st, but she looks huge!
I flew in LATE Thursday night, but I was on Eastern Time still, so I was the first one up the next morning. I heard Izzy talking to herself as I was about to take a shower, so I went in to get her instead! With my glasses and dark hair she thought I was her mama and smiled, but soon realized I wasn't. She started looking away and became disinterested, but didn't get upset. I don't know if it was my similar voice (to her mama) or what, but she soon got comfortable with me.
Here she is...a little tired still.
Here she is all dressed and ready to go. Her shirt matched her mama's, but we opted out for the pic. Isabel LOVES to read and kicking her feet on that soft chair.
This day we went to go see my bffe, Jamie, who is with child and enduring it in the hospital. She looked great, felt great, and we even got to bust her out of the hospital. We did spend some time in the hospital chapel. The nurses encouraged us to go (us 5 LDS women) and immediately I said, "Oh, it's ok. We're not that religious", joking of course to the girls I was with since we obviously were to each other. Well, since the nurses didn't know that and we were in a "baptist hospital" they looked at me with shock and horror. Kiersten immediately apologized for me while the rest of us laughed. Guess it was one of those "you had to be there" stories, but it still makes me laugh!
The next day here she is with Romy...her bff.
She LOVES looking at herself on the digital camera (oh and loves even more to look at herself in the mirror)...how could she not?
Here we are in the car on the way to the lakeshe finally fell asleep once I pretended to be asleep (she doesn't want to miss a thing)
She sticks her tongue out when she kisses...ha...she thinks she is Romy.
hi auntie ci!
Baby's first boat ride...she was SUPER uncomfortable when we put the life jacket on...lol!
Here she is watching daddy getting pulled on the tube
She is still slightly uncomfortable, but she was SO good on the boat! We were probably on at least 45 minutes.
