Pre - fete

Remind me NEVER to fly out of Newark, NJ ever again! UGH! The airport was fine...in fact, it was great. They have a great system where you go through security in a line according to what gate you are. This is PERFECT because it shortens the line! The problem is I had to first get to Penn Station (and at 4:30 am, I HAD to take a cab) and THEN I had to pay $15 to take the Amtrak train to Newark. Not only did I not realize I couldn't pay $2 using my metrocard (forgive me, I am a newby still), I didn't realize the train came only every 40 minutes instead of the normal "oh you missed the train? No worries, the next one will be here in five minutes". So luckily I made it to the airport on time and made my flight without a problem. Thank HEAVENS for the direct flight. The first in a LONG time.

Once in the great Salt Lake (city), I felt back at home. Being as it was my "last" home, I call it home. It's where I feel at home, in my parent's home up in bubbly Cedar Hills. We take a drive home and take the scenic route so I can see all the added shopping centers and the new developments. We see the same homes for sale that will NEVER SELL (give it up people). I walk through the door and I smell that same smell and I see the same faces and I hear the same voices. I hadn't seen my Grandmother in YEARS so she fell to pieces as we embraced. Mom looked happier than ever (that means Isabel is close by), and dad had more grey and less hair (sorry dad)! Anthony had BROAD shoulders and a more mature look (what the heck), and I RAN to Isabel who was screaming in the tub! Once dry, I stayed as close as I could to her...even bribed her with my jewelry so she wouldn't cry when I was there. LOL...I am horrible I know. I did everything I could to spoil her for that 48 hours she was near. I think I even lost a bracelet, bit I could care less. Seeing as I don't have a child, and she is my child, I am allowed to post as many pictures of her as I well please. So here's a start...

Here we are in the new "nursery".
Next stop was Cafe Rio of course! I can still taste that pork salad. Yum...
After far too much shopping we came home to rest for the evening. Grandmother took Isabel on a stroll through the neighborhood. After their 40 minute walk (my Grandmother is a STRONG woman), we went out to enjoy some more grub at the Pizza Factory and I met up with an old friend...THANKS COV!
Dad & Anthony throwing the ball while I am pretty sure mom had asked them to clean something or another.

The next morning, I heard Isabel start talking in her crib to herself (she is definitely a morning baby, very happy), so I brought her downstairs and pretended to be a good Auntie C.
Kiki & Isabel playing on the stairs. I hope her love of being behind bars isn't foreshadowing anything significant in the future.
Next up is the bday!
