The day of the festivities there was rain (of course). So we brought the party into the garage. Mom did a great job setting it up. We wanted limited stuff because Kiers wanted to keep it a "small" party. Well, this is small "decker style". It doesn't look great from here, but I took wire and wrapped bandannas around it to form the letter's of Isabel's name.

Obviously it was a barnyard/Cowgirl party. Kiers made these piggy cupcakes which were ADORABLE. What a crafty sis I have!

We had cousins, friends, and family come to play.

Izzy rode our saddle, but didn't know what to make of it.

Cowgirl boots (john deere of course) as per "mimi" of course!

Once Taylor got in the garb he was "forced" to wear, Isabel got a little nervous.

...apparently she really didn't like it.

But she did like Grandpa helping her with her boots.
She knew this cowboy new what he was doing.

And as always she was interested in the fun things Mimi was wearing.

Poor Isabel's boots didn't fit too well. She is above average in her feet I guess.

Beautiful Kiers & Isabel.

We also set up horseshoes to play in the garage and she was VERY interested in those. Taylor was playing them and she couldn't stop watching him play! It was so cute. She was captivated for a full 15 minutes by it.

Here came the birthday candle & cupcake

Definitely didn't have a hard time getting that marshmallow down.

and then the cupcake was gone

My gift part 1. I HAD to get her something NYC.

My gift part deux - finely crafted animals: a shark, an elephant, a giraffe, a horse, and a cow.

Ok, you're judging me. How is a one year old going to like this? Well, I think it's cool, but they're not plastic garbage animals, they are really heavy and nice. Kiersten likes animal stuff in Izzy's room so this can double as decor. Also, I can't wait to buy her more to build a HUGE collection! Plus, I am teaching her science at an early age.

Yes, LUCKY Isabel will get to have this gorgeous photo to show all of her posterity. Either that or we can bribe her with it when she gets older.

And now I am bribing her again with my bracelets!

It wouldn't be a Decker family event if we weren't taking a family photo. Look at that, four generations. Grandmother, mom, Kiers, Isabel. Wow.

This really had to be our most favorite gift she received. The most DARLING skirt from our old friend, Mara. She MADE it! It fit Izzy perfectly and came with that cute wand above. We died laughing from how cute and silly she looked. I wish I had one to match it!

The title of the post is the caption to this picture: Can you see my diaper with this skirt?

Bon Anniversaire Isabel Ruth! Je t'aime.
So close to Christmas when I get to see you again!

That's crazy. The world is so small! Taylor and I lived in the same apartment in the mission field for about three months.
Yeah! So cute!! It was really fun seeing all of you last weekend.
I can't believe she made the piggy cupcakes again! They were such a pain when we did them for Jamie's shower... what a champ to take them on again... especially without her lovely assistant!
You crack me up. What a fun party! I looks like it was a great success. Miss you!
