Do I wish for a happliy ever after in my life? Yes! Let's have Lyle finish school, pay off our bills, and live happily ever after, but more than that right now, I want IMMEDIATE gratification with something I have been striving for over the past year.
I WANT OUR WEDDING PICTURES THE WAY WE WANT THEM, FRAMED, AND PUT UP ON THE WALL!
Seriously, is it too much to ask for? People come over and they see the frames of "fake" couples because I haven't replaced them with OUR wedding photos. You see, I received the final pictures in the mail a week ago, but the perfectionist that RARELY comes out, BURST out! Lyle and I were truly disappointed in the largest print we had ordered. It looked nothing like the photo online. Everything else was what we ordered, but the overwhelming feeling of dissatisfaction ruined the whole. Not to worry, my photographer is great to work with and his wife is the glue that holds his company together. She completely understood my response after I explained to her the "look" I was going for. Anyway, it WILL be worked out soon.
However, now I have the project of putting most of the photos up (and filing the rest so we don't look like we are OBSESSED with looking at ourself all day long). This is also overwhelming. I am to blame for the fact that I didn't really think of the frames we already had to go with what I wanted to order. So now, we have frames that we may not even be able to use (blah)! Oh well. I'm sure we can figure it all out. What I am realizing more than ever is how expensive it is to custom frame anything. TAYLOR (bro in law), where are you when I need you and your framing expertise! It will cost close to $500 for one of the quotes I received to custom frame several photos. I will have to take a different route (one of them being, NOT frame certain photos). I am honestly thinking about bringing some photos home to Utah and getting them custom mattes and framed there and then ship them back. Seriously, this is ridiculous. Also, I am changing up where I have put up a few frames in the tiny apartment we are in. I have this vision of what we will purchase and replace our furniture with and where we will put things. This makes me not want to put things on the wall in certain areas because what I want to change it later? Well, guess what C? You WILL want to change it later whether you put anything there or not...that is part of your personality: needing CHANGE!
Ok, so I will really begin the task this week and post more photos later? Until then, I will pray that I will receive some sort of revelation as to where and how I need to place my photos!
