42 hours & 1/32 done!

Lyle just finished midterms yesterday...THANK EVERYTHING THAT IS GOOD!

WOW! That man, was stressed beyond belief. I cannot believe it was just over a few midterms. Well, he had 2 midterms last week and the other two (much more difficult ones) on Monday morning. They were his "first" ones which was why he was so nervous. He didn't know what to expect! Well now that THAT is over, we can focus on getting through the rest of Dental school right? He is 1/32 done and has 31/32 to go? Those numbers aren't very exciting for you or us, trust me!

In preparation for his midterms, he upped the usual 30 hours of studying a week (outside of classes) to a whopping 42! I couldn't believe it! He is crazy, but he is giving all he has to this first year and then he promised me he will re-evaluate his study habbits before he begins the next year. If it's all worth it and he is close to the top of his class, then he will keep going at the speed he's at. If not, and he is just average like everyone else, then he will take it easy and enjoy his time in the city.

As you can see it's a two-edge sword. I don't know which side to root for so I just keep my mouth shut, try not to tempt him to play with me, and try to be a supportive wife. I can do it for a year right? I mean it's almost Christmas...which means the semester is almost over!

Oh my goodness, it is ALMOST Christmas! If you know me at ALL, you KNOW I LOVE Christmas! The entire Christmas season is so so SO fun! Traditions, smells, tastes, shopping (even window shopping), gift giving, snow, old movies, new winter clothes, jackets, boots, wow...I could go on FOREVER with all the fun things the Christmas season brings. Sadly, the day after Christmas is the most depressing day of the year. I won't think about that now, though, I will think about how we are almost 60 days away! Booya!

In canada w ecall that day "boxing day" cause you box everything up. So sad.
On another note, they also box it up to bring it back to the store for new stuff. But I will give it to you, it is by far the most depressing day of the year.
CONGRATS to lyle! That is a huge sigh of relief.

Congrats! BTW, Aaron just asked me to find Lyle's email address, so I was looking through Aaron's email to find it when I stumbled on some emails Lyle sent from his mission. In a few of the emails, Lyle refers to the horrible prank that Aaron pulled on him: Aaron pretended to be getting married 12 days before Lyle was set to come home from his mission. I'm sure you know this story, but I felt so bad for Lyle after reading the emails he sent from his mission. The poor guy was so torn up about missing Aaron's wedding, and actually got physically sick about it! I just felt like I had to apologize for Aaron doing such a horrible thing to one of his best friends!

It gets better Ciara, I PROMISE! The first semester was the absolute hardest...by the second semester, it got WAY better. And the second year was cake (although people say it is the hardest). But by then, they have it all figured out...how to study, how to take the tests, etc. Good luck. Merry Christmas!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE (did I mention I love) Christmastime too!
