Ok, this has NEVER happened to me before. I have NEVER gotten holes in my shoes, much less the BACKS of my shoes. A few weeks ago I came home and realized I had a full on hole in the back of my left show of my patten leather "everyday work" shoes. UGH! I couldn't believe it. Friends at work had warned me that the New York City Streets are really tough on your shoes, but I didn't realize how tough until I put an entire finger through the hole. The way I walk shaves down the heel which meant I was walking on the patten leather.
Sadly I had to toss my beloved shoes and buy an inexpensive, quick fix with a TOUGH heel. Let's see how long it takes for these heels to go down. Don't worry...I know you are all excited, so I will keep you posted.
I am now trying to wear all my shoes so that they are in a rotation. I want my really pretty ones to last longer than ONE season!
