3 days 'til Christmas

It's a Wonderful Life was also a show watched in the Decker household each year alike with the Schofield household. It is a personal favorite of mine and Lyle's. Another Jimmy Stewart film as well! Here are notable quotes...

Clarence: Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?

George Bailey: Well, you look about the kind of angel I'd get. Sort of a fallen angel, aren't you? What happened to your wings?

When I was younger, I would think what would happen if I never existed. It was a dark thought, but a real one. This movie always gave me clarity. One's life is affected by so many others, and vice versa. Sometimes I wonder what I will do without certain people in my life. The circle of life is a natural process, and we as latter day Saints at least have the comfort to know about the Plan of Salvation and that we can live with our family again someday, but it doesn't make it easier to lose a loved one. I try to remember to show my family and friends how much I love each of them. You never know what life will bring you.

This 'still' is one my favorites in movie history. It shows the joy and love of what a family can be. The kids hanging all over Daddy, the Husband and Wife embracing, and the entire family tangled with one another. When I would envision my family as a teen (because we as beehives and mia maids would always have to set goals, etc. about our future family), I would always see a picture in my mind with everyone wrestling and hugging each other kind of like this. It is my dream. Lucky for me I've got the husband to make it all possible someday.
