After a few murmuring posts, I thought I would contribute a sunny one! Sunny as in the beautiful Monday morning Manhattan experienced today! Granted, it was gone by 3pm covered with stratus clouds from the forecasted rain, and yes, even snow later this evening. In fact, the beautiful 40 degree weather is supposed to go back down to the low 20s by Wednesday, but will be back up to the 40s and dare I even say it, possibly the low 50s by Sunday. This beautiful sunshine and weather, I know, was especially for me. I got through January without dying (literally) and the Lord had to bless me somehow for making it to February. Even though phil saw his shadow and there are still 6 more weeks of winter, I am happy as a clam if it is 6 more weeks of 40s and 50s with the sun beaming down on me!
For a Monday, I wasn't as tired as I ought to be, especially after a late night superbowl loss (may Arizona rest in peace). Also, my classes at work didn't wear me as thin as they normally do. This semester with over 35 hours (quite a jump for last semester) will actually be a great one. I was a little intimidated with all the new responsibilities I was going to have, but my whole "one day at a time" motto is working out to my benefit. Now if only I can get all the other goals and things on my 'to do' list accomplished as well, then life will be perfect. For now, though, life is GOOD!
Lyle is still working hard at being a dentist when he grows up, and we are still able to pay the bills. It's funny to me that I see a townhouse or a two bedroom apartment like the castle on the hill. I think to myself, "What if we buy a townhouse or a little starter home after Lyle gets out of school and starts making money? We won't ever need to move ever again!" I'm sure Lyle would like to freeze my thoughts and save them for 20 years from now when I want to move into a bigger home or a bigger piece of land because we "need the space". It's just funny to think about my perspective right now. In any case, we are enjoying our little abode here in Gramercy. We have a few projects in mind for the apartment, but I think we'll wait for warmer weather to start experimenting. As for now, I need to keep my mind focused on getting through these next 6 weeks with a smile. Today was great and so will tomorrow!

Ciara, what are you going to school for?
Yay! I'm glad things are sunny there. Stupid groundhog, right?
Lovin' the 'tude. The sun in winter really makes things feel so much nicer. Here's to hoping for more sunshine!
