Fun with Isabel Ruth

Isabel may be 20 months, but she acts like she is 2! She talks and talks and talks. She is insanely smart and knows what she wants and what she doesn't. She is 100% girlie girl. She can pull a tantrum in 3 seconds flat and once you offer candy she is a happy girl, saying "more, more, more" without swallowing the first one. She made her first batch of cupcakes! Tears and all!Above all she sure can make you smile and bust a gut. She pretended being a mama too with her baby. We still need to show her how to be "gentle" and to not smother the baby. Ha!We took Izzy to a "bounce house" jump place and it was so fun to watch her overcome her fears. She was a little too fearless at the end...it was perfect. You GO big girl!
She has definite attitude and innocence all in one.My love for Isabel Ruth has done nothing but grow since I have been to visit.
We've had fun with Uncle Lyle too. I'm so blessed that he was able to come for a quick visit too. We missed him when he left...Izzy randomly asked, "Lyle? Lyle?"
Lyle and I were able to go out on a long date the night before he left town. We shopped, saw a movie, and went to dinner. It was a splendid evening! I couldn't have asked for a better way to start off the summer!
We found a glasses shop, where Lyle found his next future purchase for new shades, and where I experimented with the next pair of frames I will buy (mine will totally break in the next year). Too bad I am not hip enough to pull off these Chanel's.I had to take a pic of us on our last day together. We were sitting on the couch while Izzy was watching a kid cartoon and reading books. This is our "not a care in the world" look. It was wonderful.Auntie C, Uncle Lyle, Isabel Ruth, & Halle Joy
I took Isabel to the zoo. She looked like such a BIG GIRL...
With this BFFE who brought her little Blake Jett (BFFE's for now 16 years and going strong). She taught me the ways of "being a mama" and I taught her some of the exercises from the baby classes I teach.
Izzy was pretty funny. When I asked her what noise each animal made she always responded with, "roar". Isabel is such a good girl and I am so lucky to have been able to spend a whole week with her.
I am already thinking of how soon I can get to Dallas next year!

To think that Halle will be this big is unbelievable!

Look at you being a good little auntie!! Looks like you totally played your role while you were there! I'm sure Izzy was very happy to feel included and like she was important too! I'm SOOO glad Kiers is putting pig-tails in her hair now!! I kept telling her when I was there that we needed to experiment and I'm happy to see that it is now a reality! It looks so cute!!

I love love love those piggies. I WISH we could get piggies like that in nati's hair. What a fun auntie you are! She is darling! and please please come back to dallas next year!

Being an Auntie is so much fun! I miss my little nieces, but they are coming this summer to visit. I am glad you were able to have such a fun time, and that Lyle was able to be there for part of it.
