Lately, all I see of Lyle is his BEHIND...
He's loving his desk. He hasn't gone to the library ONCE this whole semester to study--goal achieved! He's been under so much stress with his midterms and the last one is in two days! Thank goodness. Hopefully he can relax a bit with his buddy being in town. What has he been doing to unwind? He's kind of obsessed with this new game on his phone. I won't divulge too much information just in case it is "embarrassing", but let's be honest. Boys like games, no matter WHERE they find them.
What have I been doing lately? Not only have I clocked (too) many more hours at the kids club, but I have also been filling my weekend (and a few weeknight) nights with babysitting. It's great for budgeting for Christmas. Once I reach my goal, I can start saving for something else fun? Hmmm sewing machine or camera first? Ha. Anyway, it's a good way for me to stay busy, make extra money, and to not be a distraction for Lyle.
Also, I have been reading up on my holiday mags. Gotta love the holiday issues! As far as I am concerned, the holidays are HERE. I am in the kitchen every weekend making yummy goodies lately including, but not limited to gingerbread cookies, popcorn balls, tomato basil soup, stew, oatmeal cookies, and apple pie. I also am cooking a ton at work. I can't even remember what I've made, but that list includes wontons, greek cheese triangles (can't remember the traditional word), Egyptian semolina cakes, and more. I make each recipe twice a week, and it is really opening my eyes to international cooking. The only drawback? I don't feel like cooking dinner when I get home that night because I have already slaved in the kitchen for an hour and a half that day! Poor Lyle. At least he gets a solid meal once a week. It could be worse right? I keep reminding him of that.
That's our latest update. Sorry it's so plain, but it's bound to get crazy soon (it always does).

All that food sounds good, it's a shame we aren't roommates anymore so that I can enjoy the deliciousness. Save up from your lucrative babysitting for a ticket to visit me!! :)
I love the Holiday magazines, too. Every time we are in the store I want to stop and look at them, but must pass them up for I know I have no time to do any of the fun things in them. I am impressed you are baking so much. Sounds like fun! You will have to post some of your favorite new recipes.
Sounds like Lyle is hard at work! It sounds like you are already cooking up a storm. Yum! Oh, Easton wore the "I Love New York" onesie you gave him. He looked so cute in it! I posted a picture on my blog.
ah I want to come to your house and eat. YUM!
Mmmm I'm hangin out at your house this holiday ;) Oh Ciara, I LOVE your blog. And your apartment is uber awesome! Nice work!
Love the christmas cards and all of your apartment updating (it looks awesome!) Hope things continue to go well and things don't get to crazy for you:)
