Moo

This year Halloween was celebrated only at work, not in the home. (Don't worry, we bought Halloween candy ON Halloween and chowed down just in time.) I started my week by putting on my Cow Costume. I had made it last year and was bound and determined to use it again. It's comfortable, home made, and easy to keep up. I did reapply the fabric to a short sleeve shirt this year since we've been having a much milder season than last year.
(one of the best costumes b/c he was SO into being an incredible and he LOVED his muscles)
(Mermaid, Ladybug, Some sesame street character)(our scary spiderweb)
(our parachute time during any normal class)
(one of my favs too. he's a bat)
(bam bam!)We did all the traditional things at the kids club this year (made trick or treat bags, carved pumpkins, and had the children dress in costume each day).
We also decorated the entire gym with corn stalks, made a red barn door, and each coach dressed in theme of "the big red barn" (a children's book).
(I'm probably barking orders here to one of the coaches...oops)I was MORE than ready to toss the costume and Halloween altogether by Wednesday, but I pushed through and even enjoyed the Halloween Party on Friday afternoon.
(my lovely coworker who had the best costume there in my opinion)
Saturday was spent with a date to the movies (a date with myself of course - some Cici time). I saw (finally) Where the Wild Things Are and loved almost every minute. I'm so in love with the simpleness yet creativity of the book, that I highly anticipated the film. On a scho star rating, however, I firmly give it a 4****.

Saturday night Lyle and I caught a show of the Get Up Kids, which is one of Lyle's favs. We didn't expect to get caught in a mosh pit, so the experience was less than perfect, but fun was still had. On our way home we saw the expected drunk and scantily clad men and women on the streets "enjoying" their holiday. I was just glad we weren't getting yelled at by them like last year.
The holiday was more low key than usual, but we're more of the "go big or go home" crowd, so we'll make a better effort next year. As for now, we're getting excited about Thanksgiving, time off, and the end of the semester!
(oh and she's one of my favs - miss Lila - she's a stinker because she's cute, but dangerous)
