Brrrrr & Mmmmm

Well, the snow stayed and continued on. Mayor Bloomberg even declared a snow day (the day we left for D.C.) for the entire city of New York. There have only been four snow days in the past six years and we already had two this year (of the four).

Luckily I had my trusty hat, which was purchased (mind you) back in September when they first came on the rack. I was going to be prepared this year! I had my eye on it back in December 2008 and it sold out in 3 weeks. I cried and cried because I had to have THAT one. Don't believe me? Ask Lyle. Well I've worn it for almost 2 months straight this winter. It has protected me and kept me warm. I would buy it all over if I had to and I'd pay double (ok, wouldn't like to, but would if I had to). It doesn't even matter if your coat is super warm, but if your hat is solid, you're good to go! As you can see, I'm a happy (in the cold) girl - as much as I can be anyway.

Mmmm is for the marvelous King Cake I made for the Superbowl. Why did I make it for the superbowl? Well I knew the Saints would win (ok, I thought the Colts would win, but WANTED the Saints to win and Lyle thought the Saints would win, but wanted the Colts to win), so I made the cake in preparation for their victory and in celebration of Mardi Gras the following week. Geaux Saints! Wished we could have celebrated Lombardi-Gras this year!
