We were able to visit Long Island for Lyle's clinic director's annual pool party. Seeing Lyle's classmates and professors in a lighter setting was great. Although it was a little miserable getting out to long island (we had a rental car reserved, but it fell through and we had to last minute take a train and cab to the house), it was worth it. Seeing Lyle just a tiny bit more relaxed and getting to know more of his classmates and professors was good for both of us. And lets be honest, hanging out by the pool makes anyone a bit happier.
