The Schofields (aka Marv & Lorna) were the blessings that drove up the truck full of our stuff from Louisville to New York City. They will receive blessings 'til the day they die for suggesting such a task. After doing so, we tried to point them in the right direction toward tourism and we joined them a little as well!
the natural history museum

It's funny how we had to come to New York at the exact time they were having the horse exhibit. I felt like all of a sudden we were back in Louisville! In fact, in Louisville, they have crazy colored horses like this all over town, in front of businesses. It is very cool and I got a little souvenir (sadly at the airport of all places), but it means more to us because we know the significance of the designed horses all over town versus people who buy them because they think it's a crazy looking horse. Anyway, the horses guarded the entrance to the museum. It was very apprapo that we were there at this time.

I really don't feel the need to explain this one.

For Lyle's bday we were gifted a year long membership to the museum for 5 people. We were ecstatic because a) we love a good museum, b) we love that we can actually try to see the whole thing in detail since we have a year to visit, c) we can invite people to come with us for a free date night, d) this gives us a great excuse to HAVE a date night/day at all!
OK, I saw this and instantly thought of Friends! Thank you Ross for making this museum make me laugh due to pop culture (at a natural HISTORY museum)!

Central Park west on our walk to time square...the picture doesn't do it justice.

Marv wanted to see time square at night with all the lights. Really there is nothing to do there unless you go down broadway and see a show or eat at a restaurant or want to go into a store, but in my opinion, there is nothing of too great value to shop for over there. It is very fun to see all the lights and the chaos on the streets though!

On our way home we took 5th avenue and walked past all the shops. Lyle and I hadn't done that either since we had arrived, but you can't help but get a smile on your face knowing your most favorite shops and labels are so close to you!

This was just such a cute pic and because the Schofield family is a Disney family we HAD to enter these special doors. The store was VERY cool and I wanted to buy little Izzy every cute baby thing, but no funds and Kiersten's "what were you thinking" look stopped me...luckily.

A cathedral apparently visited and blessed by Pope John Paul II. Very beautiful and very gothic...loved it.
