because I have been a little overwhelmed with actually getting a job promotion (as the new leader starting this fall)...
because Lyle finished his finals this week and again all his hard work has paid off...
because we've been pretty good at staying at home and NOT spending money...
WE STARTED OUR VACA EARLY!
We ordered takeout from here on Wednesday. It was cheap and not perfect, but good. We'll definitely order again! Scho stars: 3***
We went to see the Barney's Warehouse sale (this is so NOT our thing and we can now say we've done it and don't need to do it again--we just can't shop that way, it is much too stressful), then went to eat here on Thursday. It was ok for me, but Lyle was kind of in DR heaven. He even bought one of their DR drinks and could almost smell the ocean there. Scho Stars: 3*** Oh and Lyle had to have a pic with his new car.
It's pre-owned, but in this economy, you have to make some cutbacks.We went to Bloomies to get me some much needed shoes (they are so sassy and I love them), Lyle socks, to window shop, and stayed to eat here on Friday. I must say I was ALREADY a happy girl with new shoes, but this made it even better. It was a NY priced meal, but I had the brisket burger mix, which Lyle is STILL surprised I finished (I am no lightweight...literally) and we finished it off with a strawberry shortcake shake to share. It was a GOOD meal. Scho stars: 4****
AND after a productive morning of a good workout and cleaning the church, we rewarded ourselves with brunch here. We CANNOT wait to go back to have brunch. It was amazing. We recommend it to anyone and everyone. Scho stars: 5*****

Congrats on your promotion! That food looks really good and I'm sure you will be eating some delicious food while you are on vacation. I know I have been eating A LOT of good food for the past three weeks.
