Jazz vs Nets

The Jazz came to town (meaning Jersey) to demolish the Nets. That's what they planned to do, that's what was expected, and that's what they did. We decided to watch the mess, but we didn't have to pay much for great seats!

Lyle and I finished work, and hopped on the express bus toward Staten Island (another new experience for yours truly). After 40 minutes of this, we landed at one of Lyle's fellow dental buddy's house, I learned I was going to be the ONLY being with 2 X chromosomes amongst 7 XY's, then we hopped in the car to drive to IZOD arena. I rather enjoy hanging with the guys, so I put up with their dorky science talk and arguing about who had the more correct directions to get there (lol). As we arrive to the game, we learn a few things. One - with the windchill, it must be in the single digits and COLD. Two - Lyle and I are STARVING because it's past our (late) dinner time. Three - I am beyond car sick because I am NOT used to driving in a car (weird right)! So after a bathroom break and an overly expensive hamburger, we are feeling good. Lyle enjoyed talking smack with the boys (keep in mind the boys were also talking smack to a younger group of boys who were probably 10 a few rows behind us), and started the downhill spiral of junk food. On our way home, we had the guys drop us off at the Staten Island Ferry so that we could ride it back to Manhattan. We are exhausted and freezing. Once we hopped off, we were home in 5 minutes (that's the beauty of cab - whereas the train would have taken another solid 30-45 minutes).
