I felt like the Holiday Season pushed us a little more than last. We had obligations to more events, but I feel as if our schedule was already more demanding than last year too! I know it will get busier and more laborious over the upcoming years so I will suck it up and enjoy the holiday cheer.
What I have enjoyed above all this season is time. Time is very important in our home. We try not to waste it, we try to use it wisely, and we try to share it with one another. The thing that I ALWAYS enjoy during the holidays is the time OFF Lyle receives from school and my time off from work. We do things together because we have time--not separately because it's more efficient. I think I may have even gotten a little emotional because Lyle offered to go to the grocery with me after his finals were over. Again, it was a shocking moment. Tasks seem to be a burden and time consuming over the year, but when Lyle's on break, they are part of our day together. I love it. I love how Lyle spends to choose his time. I love that he chooses to spend it with me, and although he may need reminding once in a blue moon, he chooses to use his time to help me.
