NYC - by land AND by sea

Saturday we toured midtown AND took a boat cruise. They were both excellent.

Our stop at Park and 23rd St. waiting for the train.

Right outside Bloomies. Does this girl photograph well or what?

outside my FAVORITE candy store - Dylan's Candy Bar

SiSters on the Subway!

On our way to the circle line cruise!

other ships, cruises, a plane, and the intrepid

lookin out to New Jersey

Our dear Lady Liberty

Ok so she wasn't as into it as we were?

A little dance to start off Lyle and Halle's date night of babysitting!
Kiers & Ciara's ladies night!

Top of the Rock - Observation Deck

at sundown

We saw Phantom of the Opera at the Majestic Theatre. Amazing as ever. It's the longest running show on Broadway.
Time Square at night all lit up. After the theater we went to Juniors for a midnight snack.

Sunday we woke up ready to walk. We strolled the Brooklyn Bridge BEFORE the rain hit and got in line for the best pizza in NYC - Grimaldi's.
Well the long line was worth the wait. We were happy, Halle was happy.

And we got to try a new Rootbeer. It was nothing special, but it's always fun to try a new brand!
We're going back to Manhattan!!!

Manhattan Skyline

Lyle went home to study, but we hit Central Park while Halle slept. No rain was going to stop us!
Here we are at the duck pond. Quaint.

Poor Hals was NOT having any fun at this point. We tried to find a place with warm water, but it took walking to the upper west side. Hals was such a trooper though!
Halle's 1st cab! She LOVED it.

the TV helps right?

On Monday, we went to New Jersey for some Cake Boss at Carlo's Bake Shop in Hoboken. I didn't even realize it until we got inside, but this is where I was gifted my chocolate cake from a friend last year. Anyway, we only waited in a short line for this one. Well worth it.
next to her favorite - cannolis!

all that's left of a baby in the apt. Sigh. Someday someday.

Recap:
  • Halle worshipped Lyle and loved it when he came home everyday. Maybe she thought he was another daddy or something (sorry Taylor).
  • Halle was a solid trooper and so was Kiers. She loves that baby so much and anyone can tell.
  • We saw so much with so little walking (it was excellent)
  • The weather was horrid and the weekend before or after would have been perfect, but alas, we still rock and rolled.
  • Our apartment can MAYBE stand up to a one year old, but NOT a day older?
  • Halle loves loves LOVES attention from the camera. This may have been her america's next baby model trip because she cheesed the heck out of the those cheeks.
  • Halle is a flirt everywhere she goes.
  • As a team Kiers and I can take the stroller anywhere, but alone, I will not be quite as daring someday.
  • Phantom, the longest running show on Broadway, is still a classic fav.
  • I never tire of showing someone around the City, I am learning new things each time.
  • I love my sister more than words can say and I love my nieces more than I can help it.
  • Lyle is a baby lover, it's official. Do I even dare say he's baby hungry? Maybe he's getting there. What I do know? He's going to be an amazing daddy someday.  I can't wait to see it.
