Lyle took the boards!
The next day we flew to Miami for a much need R & R.
We started Day 1 off great with sleeping in, a french breakfast, and golf. We ended the day with the beach, followed by feeling completely relaxed, but then the universe had to shake things up again and my iphone got stolen. After calming down and fighting the tears, we decided to get some food to cheer us up. Cuban food that is. (And Cuban food is the closest thing to Domincan food). Was it good? Answer: we went back for seconds!

| The next day we drove down to the Keys to visit Grammy & Steve. We looked through hundreds if not thousands of photos from Grammy's childhood all the way to Lyle's adolescence. Then we went for some Birthday lunch for Lyle |
located ON THE WATER.
Then off to the beach.
Picturesque.
Paradise!
Happy Birthday to you beau!
Back at our hotel, Lyle couldn't help but notice that almost every single car was an exotic supercar. He was in heaven.
I don't know what a single one is...Lyle was speaking a whole new language.

The Shore Club - where we stayed.
Lets just say, we got a great deal.
And we probably won't go back.
This hotel is mainly for partying, not for comfort-ability.
I must say the customer service was very good though.

Our view.
Our beach spot.
Each hotel has their own beach side service, complimentary.
We were spoiled in Miami Beach.
We WILL be back again.
We were spoiled in Miami Beach.
We WILL be back again.
On our way to the airport, we went rock climbing! If you ask Lyle, he didn't "cheat" once, but let me tell you if it's between life and death, then you're not "cheating". Here are some "after" shots of us climbing since clearly we couldn't take photos while we were belaying the other. What we were proud of, was that both of us were a little above the average climber (so we were told by the staff according to the difficulty level of our climbs)
Okay, back to real life. At least it involves finding out Lyle's board scores, and less stress in the Schofield home?!

Looks like the R&R was nice. I am slightly jealous. The beach sounds lovely right now.
